A terroir-driven Pinot Noir focused on showcasing the distinct personality of our vineyard site. This is accomplished through decisions and extremely careful handling focused around maintaining the purity of our fruit and avoiding the contribution of outside flavors, primarily through the use of a lower percentage of new oak (25-30%) and a carefully managed fermentation.

A barrel selection wine chosen as a ‘stylized’ terroir-driven Pinot Noir, still focused on showcasing the distinct personality of our vineyard site, but delivering more fullness, more structure, finer texture, and utilizing a slightly higher percentage of new oak (45-50%), carefully chosen to compliment, expose, and highlight some of our site’s natural spiciness and darker fruit flavors.

Every year there are always one or more special barrels in the cellar that really speak to us… offering the finest texture and the most weight, roundness, structure, expressive aromas, complexity, and overall balance of all our wines. These few barrels, which typically include our highest percentage of new oak (45-75%), are set aside early in the year before consideration is given to which barrels will be selected for our other wines.
