2018 Estate Pinot Noir
A terroir-driven Pinot Noir focused on showcasing the distinct personality of our vineyard site. This is accomplished through decisions and extremely careful handling focused around maintaining the purity of our fruit and avoiding the contribution of outside flavors, primarily through the use of a lower percentage of new oak (25-30%) and a carefully managed fermentation.
This wine opens up with a rush of ripe red and dark fruit; black cherry, raspberries, and blueberries, all in tandem with earthier notes of bay leaf, graphite, and black licorice. The mouth-coating velvety texture and bright acidity provide for a fuller-bodied wine with a long, dense finish.
